Our patchwork floor rugs are made using fragments of vintage carpets loomed in Iran, India, and Nepal. Many of the recycled pieces are from antique carpets that are partially damaged and beyond use as normal carpets; this gives the patchwork design history and a distinct character.
The type of weaving varies in each fragment from 150,000 knots per square metre up to 600,000 and more. Each fragment of antique carpet is carefully selected, over-dyed, and stitched together to create a harmonious collage of traditional carpets. Every design transforms the ancient craft of rug making into a one of a kind artwork. 203x264cm.
